Included in the Daisy tuition is our Introductory Carpentry program with teacher Ronald Dickinson. Introductory Carpentry exposes students to the basics of woodworking using real tools in a supervised, supportive environment. Students begin by learning the proper terms for specific tools and how to correctly use them. Wood and other materials are slowly introduced as students work on their “creations”. Woodworking fosters independence and creative thinking while building hand-eye coordination and dexterity/fine motor skills — all in keeping with the Daisy philosophy!
